Professional Scratch Removers

Hi

Picked up my 2002 Clio recently with 40,000 miles on the clock, a good deal but one or two noticable scratches and a fair few that should polish out. I'm just wondering if anyone knew any national companies that offer a service to remove bodywork scratches. I've heard good things of "Chips Away" but also storys of the paint going funny over a few months.

You could have a go yourself with meguires scratch x, but if they are very deep (if you can get your fingernail in it) It'll be a waste of time.

As for chipsaway, it depends on your local dude - some get decent people, others don't.

got pics of the scratches? where they are etc.

you can touch them up and flat them down sometimes then polish them up.

other times its easier to just feather them out with wet and dry and blow them in with aerosols.

other times i wouldnt attempt a blow in and ide just paint the panel.

and finally they could possibly just be flat out and polished up without paint needed.

really depends on the scratches, so pictures would help greatly?

Hiya, Pictures are on there way

We have had them come over before, about 6 months ago, fantastic job! Although after reading some of the stories it did put me off.

I did not intend to try and have ago myself, but theres no harm in trying (I hope :rasp: ) No scratches that are deep enough that they catch on my nail, yet....

if they dont catch on your nail then they should just polish out.
