Programs for burning CD's

I have got a few songs I wanted to put onto disc for tomorrow but only have one blank disc lying around. When I put the disc in it comes up that it is blank and asks me what I want to do with it so I open up the burn list in Windows Media Player and press burn and it ejects my disc and asks me to insert a blank one.

Anybody know anything I could try or any alternative software for burning CD's?
