Clio 172
Took the Clio 16v to the garage on Monday to get the head gasket fixed and is looking good so far.
The garage has stripped down the engine and got the head skimmed. They also got a bolt on the head replaced as it was letting water in. Atleast the head was not cracked as that would have bumped the price up quite a bit.
Just aswell this job was done as he said he is changing my cambelt aswell which is pritty duff now. The car s on 89k and I was told by the last guy that it had been changed.
I was however unsure of this when he told me as there was no reciept.The garage said they had to take the cambelt off anyway and that it would not cost anymore (apart from cost of the belt) to get it put back on.
He has told me to go back on wednesday to see how its going.
So far its a couple of hundred labour + parts on top.
