Re: Project 172 **** Update page 4 - Air filter located cup racer style ;)

Hi,

Cool little project, Im new to the forum as im formally a ford guy... which is where i know Jamie and Jamsport from.
They built me a cvh engine for my ford ka and using the gotech ecu it produced a healthy 192hp and 199lbs.

These guys know their stuff and Jamie is a wizz at mapping, Cant wait to see what it makes as im looking to get myself a 172 soon.

Good luck

Adam

Re: Project 172 **** Update page 4 - Air filter located cup racer style ;)

As below mate :)

ben

We have used the AT power throttle bodies on the vauxhall xe engine and were impressed, this is the perfect opertunity for us to show they work well on the clio engine, i know there are a few cars out there with them with good results so were interested to see what we can do with bens car.

the managment will be our Gotech MFI Pro ecu, very caberble ecu for the 1*2 engine, we run this on many cars, ranging from standard Mazda MX-5's thru to a DB7 V12 engined jag.

Re: Project 172 **** Update page 7 -ITB'S ****

Awesome stuff!

Love the way this car is going :)

Re: Project 172 **** Update page 7 -ITB'S ****

Excellent!!

Clio market is missing a decent tuner in the UK. Cant think of one who i'd be happy levaving my car with. These boys sound the real deal though :)

Re: Project 172 **** Update page 7 -ITB'S ****

Agree, especially with what happened to steves car.

Im 100% happy, communication has been excellent.

Aiming for completion by next saturday. Bodies fitted monday, loom etc tuesday & wednesday, then mapping thursday & friday, chaging trumpets ETC for optimum performance iirc.

Sure mark will confirm sometime soon :)

Re: Project 172 **** Update page 7 -ITB'S ****

Sweet! Lots of popping and flames coming to a Clio near u! :D

Get some videos up when its done mate! x

Re: Project 172 **** Update page 7 -ITB'S ****

The driveability over standard is awesome!

And the mid range punch is alot better than standard.

The pops/bangs/flames are fun too

Re: Project 172 **** Update page 7 -ITB'S ****

Awesome!

Very short though?

Air con coming out?

Re: Project 172 **** Update page 7 -ITB'S ****

Air con staying in :)

Just fitted at the minute, its running now :) Time for mapping i think, seeing what length of trumpets work best, and its got to fit a filter on aswell :)

Re: Project 172 **** Update page 7 -ITB'S ****

Good stuff!

You running socks or a sausage filter?

Re: Project 172 **** Update page 7 -ITB'S ****

This still on standard cams? Looks a decent install keeping the a/c.

Re: Project 172 **** Update page 7 -ITB'S ****

Looking well, still sooooo tempted to get a kit and do mine myself!!

with this setup you get a longer ram pipe than the jenvey tapers.

also the loom is now dressed so looks totally different to the loom in the pic. should be good to see what power it makes now.

Im like a child :) I cant wait :)

Think i might have to spray the rocker cover though, the inlets have been masking my lazyness not to clean it :)
