Project RS clio van (by accident)

Car  172 Cup & Clio dci Van
Well i have been working on my ACTUAL project Clio cup for quite a while now, building up bits n bobs alround to get a 230-240bhp N/A cup.

As a result i am finding myself with lots of odds and sods that i have used on a newishly aquired Clio van i purchased after sacking off the L200 warrior.

This is how the van started (minus some tacky hub caps which i ripped of before i drove it home)

with a bot of hair dryer and a lot of bug and tar remover i got rid of the shitty decals on the side!

What's the plan with it? I do like a van project! Nice colur for a van too

I picked up a set of 182 alloy wheels for silly cheap as they were curbed and grazed guaged to hell, with a dab of metal filler , and a hell of a lot of sanding i got them looking pretty minty, and went for a solid black finish.

having picked up a second rs 172 engine along with bodies forged pistons brand new and lots of other bits for my Cup i found myself with a spare v. good condition 172 engine which i might be inclined to dump it in there in the future but for now i am enjoying the frugalness of the dci!

I had a little bit of the good old cheap and cheerful lense tinter knocking around from previous cars so I put a few layers on the rear lenses and they came out a tad darker but nothing silly.

Fook the 172 engine just play with the dci for the torque! You get to keep the frugalness then. You will already have a cup playtoy!

Picked up a nice little spoiler for her, of a dynamique i think, or a flamer rs, not sure...

looks good though, so tried to get some paint for it but failed
(see http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=470996)

in the meantime i keyed the paintwork up with some very fine grit wet n dry so the rattle can job it gets will stick a little better.

(spoiler keyed in piccys hence matt look)

rear tyres on it are 205 (excessive i know but i had them knocking around so chucked them on) rubbing on the strut i think so will need some spacers...

182 alloys prob only be temp, would quite like to get some steelies on it polished up silver for the more van look...

almost there - (just waiting for my spoiler to dry/cure etc)
