well i decided on a late run to k-tec (got off work early!) will get pics up asap.. at least she pulls all the way through the rev range now!

nearly a year since i updated this! well there is kinda a reason.. 3 replacement engines from a tuning componey and at last a good map from TDF and the car is running really well.. had its first bit of track time in over a year at FCS!!

well knew i had problems so off to tdf i went! roaded the car and oh dear!

of course bottom one is the befor power and torque... so compression test was done.. that was fine 13.5 across all 4 cylinders! then we looked at the k-tech filter... it was basically pulling back onto the trumpets and killing the cars power! que me being a pikey!

that little bit of L shapped ally made all the diffrence! and here are final power firures for you all!

quite happy with that torque!

whiteline ARB turned up today and kw v2's are on aswell as my rc6 pads... talk about squeek alot! will be off to the ring on the 17th with another car club

cant really say much on the trouble.. dont want to start arguments again :quiet:

but yeah everything seems good now and running spot on! looking forward to germany on the 17th to see how the car preforms! hopefully ill make a full lap this year

Ah!! The ring. The last track my car managed to get home from under it's own steam lol. Albeit at 50mph with 1.5 driveshafts pmsl.

i love it to bits! befor ITB's i was running 9:18 round the track first time i went over there with itbs did 1 lap bridge to gantry of 9:30 and the car went pop... didnt make it off the track then tried again a month later and didnt make it out of france.. about 30 miles into the trip it went bang again! so yeah a "few" problems but now the car is worked on by TDF no problems and it runs spot on

if only the engine faliers didnt happen it would be fully forged and making alot nicer power live an learn i guess with regards to modding cars and places you go!

Yep i learnt that on my previous car, Matt has been doing mine too now, will be forging it when the finances allow, I just have to live with epic power and the inevitability that it will soon die lol. No ring trips for me as it just won't get back. Cars eh, love/hate!!

thats the thing with these cars there either really reliable.. or they just die! there seems to be no inbetween! and nonsence! if you belive it will get back and start trusting the car it will be fine.. something im not able to do just yet! its had its last check over before going on the 17th 4 times! and it will be getting a 5th and probably 6th before i leave lmao! yeah cars are a love/hate relationship!!!

well what fun i had the day i had to leave for germany! the bell housing on the gearbox decided to crack and car wasnt going into gear.. soooo off to work we went!

new mount made up

box tig welded up with a plate to strengthen it and the new mount installed

so after an epic 36 hours awake i made it into germany! thing was weather was a bit pants bought 14 laps.. did 4, sold 10 and out of them 4 only one was a dry lap! but was very pleased with a BTG of 8:45

car is currently at rentech getting the clutch replaced and steering rack as the heatsheild cut through the pipe on the actual rack... also the thrust bearing was mullered so mike and the gang sorting it all out for me! cant wait to get her back now!!
