prolines at last :)

my car has seen a few changes just recently, just thought i would post some pics up of the changes. the changes have included
- prolines
- original lower grille
- boot resprayed
- boot rebadged
- cupra splitter

the reason i fitted a cupra splitter was because i hit a rabbit and it destroyed my oem one (and the rabbit). so it was a cheap fix to see what it would look like as i had only seen pics of them on here and not the real thing. still unsure on the splitter tbh, cant beat a cup or carbon one.

anyway, here's what it was like before

the ride height is higher with the prolines compared to the apex (as expected), but the ride is a lot smoother and they feel more controlled.
i have a set on k-tek's brand new solid top mounts on the way which there are only 2 sets of. mine and the k-tek track car :approve: when i fitted the springs, the oem rubber strut tops were a mess! had no end of play in it. so pics of the strut tops when i get them :rasp:

yep, still very unsure on the splitter, was an experement more than anything. people had put pics up of the cupra splitters on here before but i couldn't make out exactly what they looked like until now. lol.

im hoping the springs will drop by a couple of mm. im used to seeing it about 35mm lower than it is now! if they dont settle and look right some sportlines may be going on. the apex looked great but its just a shame how bumpy they were!

Was looking a bit tired from a Track Day on Thursday before and dirty from the long journey but I love it some days and hate it others, I'm hoping to really control my bank balance so I can really start to make it better

just spent a couple of hours on my car and i managed to fix the oem splitter cut a bit of cardboard to fill the hole in it. bonded it together with duck tape, then went over the cardboard with black insulation tape. looks a treat to me. far better than the cupra one

then i made the milltek sit nicely in the bumper cut-outs. i wedged and cable tied some old socket heads in the corners of the brackets. did the trick

the the postman arrived!!

my new solid strut tops. cant wait to get them on, getting the camber etc.. set up like a trophy/cup racer. cant wait

also just ordered some new numberplates that will sit nicely in the recess. pics when i get them

i will be heading to the first ea meet after the karting one, i cant afford the go-karting for some reason, lol. cant think why lol

Thats a good looking Clio. Im not to sure on the Cupra splitter to be honest. Might be worth investing in a carbon one.
