Just cleaning up a caliper before I put it back on the car, is there any way for me to wind the caliper piston out as far as possible for me to clean it? I haven't got any hoses connected but it still seems to be pretty well stuck in
Front caliper or rear ? The front just slides out , if you had it connected you could pump your pedal and push it out . Seeing that its not connected you can tap it out using a flat blade screw driver tapping it gently and working around the top of the piston .Put a little bit of grease on the piston when you put it back in to make it easier . Take care not to rip the dust seal on the caliper . If its the rear caliper it screws out .
