question about insurance claim..

my g/f is a name driver on my williams, she smashed it the other day into the back of someone and what looked to be no damage to the other car has turned out to be 1000 quid due to the inside of the boot under the carpet getting bent.

im only third party fire and theft and have 4 years no claims.

im just wondering, when we claim to get this guys fixed, will i loose my no claims even tho my g/f crashed it?

its not protected unfortunately :(

thanks

edit. sorry mods, just noticed this is in the wrong section

cool, hopefully shouldnt be too bad then, im with tesco and its only 360 quid so 20% shouldnt affect it too much i hope...

shes fully comp on her 206 and i think shes ok to drive other cars 3rd party so im assuming i can just get the guy to claim her insurance rather than mine?...

Doesn't your car have to be insured fully comp to be covered by someone elses policy to drive it?

It has to be insured else your mum could buy a evo and you insure a 1.0 metro fully comp and drive the evo round for £50 a year.

Depends on the policy
I thought if you were fully comp on your car, you were automatically 3rd party on anyone elses?
Nope some companies do sme don't some do when your older than 18 other 321 others 25 and some not at all. Very few do it for under 25's though. Also some places say the car has to be insured by someone else also when you leave the car on the public higway etc then sinre your not driving it its uninsured and thereofre ilegal.

Yep just get anyone to insure the Evo though. Some compnaies catch people by asking if you have access to other cars and saying its for emergency use only.
