Question about Sky Broadband

Car  Sport 172
Afternoon,

Basically looking at getting Sky Broadband.

Now I'm moving into a new house with 3 mates and we have 3 comps and 3 Xbox'. Going to put the wireless connection on the middle floor.

Its a 3 storey town house so will the wireless broadband they offer be enough to run 3 comps and 3 Xbox' at the same time without any lag.

Thanks

what package?

16mb id say yes, anything lower id say itd struggle with the upload if they was all on at same time

Would've thought the 3 XBox's should be fine on their own as they don't require massive data transmission, it's more about response.

Thats fine then. Too be honest it won't be a case of all of them being used at the same time. Said that really to give an example of maximum use and if it could handle it. At the most it will be just the 3 xbox used etc.

Kewl kewl, will get it ordered.

You may have problems with using the three 360's on live at the same time. You'll have to set up port forwarding on the router but even then you may have problems. I've got three set up on sky's Sagem router at the moment and we get serious problems when we're all trying to play on live. one 360 will have the nat port open the other will be moderate and the other it'll be closed (you need it to be open for best results). We haven't found a way round it coz sky won't let us use a different router.

edit: forgot to add we had the netgear one before and had the same problems

we have 4 lads with the 16 (supposedly) meg connection, all laptops are on permanently, one xbox on live and one ps3 online, and we've never had any problems, although we have to limit the (legal) downloading to night time otherwise its very very slow..

from what I understand when multiple 360's are connected to live the router gets confusedith which ip to forward the port to as multiple 360's would need the same ports open. That's why bondy doesn't have the problem as the playstation would use different ports.
