Question about swapping dials

Can someone tell me; if i want to swap the clocks in my car, do the new ones have to be the same scale (i.e. go to the same mph as the existing ones).
Looking at some new ones but they go to 160 whereas my current ones go to 140.

TO be fair the are the same dial, only look as if they go faster.

When in actual fact clios top out at way below 140. Is there much need of them?

Well they're actually completely different style dials, it's just that they go to a different speed too. Just want to make sure that if i do get them they'll show the correct speed.

im sure giles had 172 dials in his 1.2 8v clio and they rev to 8k and 160mph compaired to the 7k and 140mph of the non rs ones.
