Quietest 2.5" exhaust system?

  172 - 249bhp @ the wheels
Was looking in a few exhaust threads for some advice really, but it seems there is no such thing as a quiet well made 2.5" system??? The one I have on currently is VERY loud to the point it's probably not road legal and Pro Speed are the people I'll probably go with unless someone knows of any off the shelf systems that will suit? Needs to be well made and non performance affecting

I would of thought that all 2.5bore systems would be performance affecting?

An exhaust will nake noise

Heard that the yozza stealth is quiet, but any after market exhaust will have/make some noise.

I have a ktec stealth and i an very happy, not as loud as my mates orib sound race system. The ktec stealth has a middle and back box. The less boxes you have the louder it will be

I think custom may be the way to go, then you can be sure you get what you ask for. My K-Tec is louder than i was expecting but i have no idea if it is louder than i should've expected....if you know what i mean? lol

I wish i'd gone to Prospeed

Wouldn't Charlie at Prospeed modify your k-tec so that's quieter. I'm not sure if he would or not but it might be worth asking, saves you money at the end of the day.

if it helps my 2.5 inch Blueflame stanless cat back system is 92 db which i got test at Castle Combe the other week

Oh I'm not saying any are badly made, I just want those qualities from a system. I want all the performance possible with no compromise to quality and it MUST be quiet above all. I've heard a Ktec system (no idea which) and it was too loud and I didn't like the raspy noise either.

Not expecting it to be silent to be perfectly honest, I did concede to the idea it will make some form of noise ;)

I have a center box and backbox on the current system and okay, the baffles long since exitied the system, but it's still too loud and I'm old!

Looks like I'll have to go custom made then, which is no issue, it's just miles away from where I reside.

Russ, thanks but 92db is far too loud for me, I'd get a standard system if it didn't blow to bits in a week

Yozzasport claim thier stealth is nealrly standard so it might be worth speaking to them.

my current system was 88db at some point, now it's got no baffles its a bit louder! still too loud for me though, I want something much quieter if it's possible lol

imo if you gp for a custom/aftermarket box it will be better than standard but going to be noticalble louder

problem is that the car's got turbo innit (lol), so a standard system would be blown to bits as soon as the throttle reaches halfway, otherwise I'd just get a Renault one :(

I imagine the yozza stealth is best, theres a comparison on youtube.

I think its the one i will get to replace the powerflow system on mine...

cant really tell anything from the vids tbh, it's as loud as I set the volume lol. I think I'll have to hear one up close really, will have to get to a meet at some point.
