I measured from the top of the rim inline with the centre cap..straight up to the arch.

Right, my drivers rear is 115 mm arch to rim and my passengers rear is 120 mm arch to rim.

Standard suspension and wheels mate.

no need for struts i wunt av thought josh just buy some eibach sportline springs i think it is they lower 30 mm and should sort ur height issue

have a look under car and see if your rear struts are covered in oil if there not id say they were ok

i agree with da it might be the shocks, i had a car with dodgy rear shocks and it ended up looking like it was on tiptoes.

But they're lowering springs and 182 shocks, you will then need to tell your insurance it's 'lowered'.

Personally I'd be checking both rear shocks and if faulty replacing them with OE. Compare the springs too, post up a pic and I should be able to say if they are Cup springs or not.

Don't start throwing £££'s at it till you know the problem.

I doubt it's the spring as the shock self extends and the spring will only come into play when the car is actually being used.

Rear springs are pretty similar anyway as the majority of the weight difference is at the front of the car.

I have money aside for suspension, and was already wanting to lower it!

the car will bounce up and down a few times when you rock it or go over a bump

Remove both shocks and put them side by side.
Have a mess with them, see if they both contract and expand at similar rates etc.
Check for oil leaks.

Is the rear bouncy at all when driven?

in terms of bounciness it shouldn't really bounce at all.

If you go out to it now, push down on the roof above the rear quarter and push up and down a few times to get some momentum, then step back, if it still bounces up and down a couple of times your shocks are knackared. It should stop bouncing pretty much straight away-ish.

Go for eibach sportlines I fitted mine yesterday, and I am really pleaded with the ride and the ride height.
AS for shock mine failed on its MOT 2 months ago but I brought a second hand one from the scarp yard £20 I think it was

Are you crazy? The shocker merely dampens the travel. The spring determins ride height.

Granted, uprated shocks dont have as much travel in them, but thats because they are mated to lowered springs
