So Greg kindly took a detour today on his way to renault world series to pick something up for me :D

On another note though, got a bit of an electrical fault, something is drawing power and giving me a flat battery, need to find out where, hopefully this weekend.

My rb 182 cupped was up at £3600 on 76k full mot etc and no takers at the stupidly low price so decided to keep it.

Like what you've done I'll be doing a little work to mines now, the fuel consumtion was bothering me but I drive it all the time pointless trips to nowhere I'll just drive it less and nit thrash it everywhere lol.

Is it easy and cheap to get the timing checked?

Not worth selling for that much, mine has passed the 90k barrier now and is worth more to me than it is in money. Dont find fuel that bad, get around 36mpg with a mixture of driving (no commuting though).

RSTuning will check it for an hours labour plus some new caps iirc.

Your names Blue!!!! Lol

cc'd ;)

I'm getting 20mpg'ish average speed of around 14mph £50=200 miles.

I'm nowhere near rs tuner but sounds good an hours labour

Haha fair play. I wander if an RB cage would look good in a sunflower 172!? hmmm

Cheeky update-ish with a stolen pic :p

After more dillying and dallying over a 200 than dans wife the night he got her drunk enough to say yes I am keeping this and the plan continues :)

Got the weekend completely free, and so plan to fix my xenons, mod my subframes so I can fit my cage and also to fit my RARB which has been lying around for a month now!

s**tty update lol, but also a pic since I dont think there is one of the seats fitted :)

Its the one in the pic on the other page, its a bolt in jobby :)

Xenon is now fixed, big thanks to sutts autos for supplying the new ignitor for a very good price :)

However the electrical gremlins are back and something is pulling current all the time :(

Oh, and this came today, I'm pretty happy with it :D

Re: Racing Blue Shed; The project thread

So your keeping the msv one, why do your subframes need chopped for the cage?

Re: Racing Blue Shed; The project thread

I'm glad your keeping it :)

The sticker looks great. Where are you putting it? Front left/right?

Whats up with the car too?

Yeh, My subframes are some dodgy one's i bought of a dodgy southernerner on here and they get in the way of where the cage mounts. Just need chopping up a bit.

Rear like an R26R type position, going to get 2 more for the sidemounts in the car too, I might even use this one for a sidemount and then order a smaller one for the car since this one is bigger than i thought.

No idea about whats up with it, I feel like just buying a battery optimiser and living with plugging it in during the week lol Got the name of a good auto electrician tonight so will try him I think.

Yours fixed yet?

Update....

Today i've mostly been fitting the RARB, although it did take a while since I had to pop to halfords halfway through for a deep socket

Also found out my alternator is f**ked, and its booked in to be changed over on Thursday. Would get my uncle to do it but he is really busy at the moment (he's self employed) :(

Re: Racing Blue Shed; The project thread

Only went for a quick hoon around the back of the village but it is definitley more planted, I can see it being 'fun' in the wet but its staying on, just looking forward to the ice :D
