Radiator fan-switch blank

  '92 172, Lotus Elise
So I've just taken delivered of a shiney new 172 radiator.

unfortunately, for some reason, it has a hole on it to plug in a fan switch like you get on mk1s. my mk1 switch fits so it's m22x1.25.

I don't need/want this switch as the 172 fan is controlled by the ecu, so where can i get a blanking plug from? I know i could just screw in the fan switch, but that would be messy :(

I'm sure i've seen a few people mention that they have bought radiators with these holes

  Mondeo TDCI 130
Renault sell them, but there s**t plastic ones!!!

Whenever i fit them, i take it to the local engineering place and they give me a brass bung!!

what's wrong with the plastic ones, leak? break?

  ITB'd MK1
i've had pug radiators with the same, I remove the plastic bungs and put old sensors in ever since a bung broke up and left me overheating
