Random crack appeared on windscreen

  182
Morning everyone,

Came out of the cinema last noght and noticed a crack on the windscreen starting from the very bottom, drivers side. It looked to get bigger on the drive home too.

Im sure its quite cheap to have replaced theough insurance without effecting no claims, but i worry the replacement may not be exactly the same.

am i being silly/ does anyone have any experiance with this?

Thanks all
Austin

As long as you inspect the windscreen before it's put on they can't put the wrong one on..

I had one replaced on my 306, they put the wrong one on (factory ones had a 20% tint so it looked odd being completely clear) - they wouldn't replace it even though it was the incorrect one without me paying the excess again.

This has doubled in size since this morning. Anyone know how you go about getting a replacement, is it direct through my insurance company or do you use an independant windscreen replacement company etc?

Had a closer look outside, something had clearly hit it as i can see the curcle mark where the crack has started to run from
