Random wire,connector

Hello everyone, I’ve spotted a wire that doesn’t seem to connect to anything in the foot well of the drivers side just above the pedals, any ideas any what it could be and if it is just a unused cable? Car is a Renault Clio dynamique 2004.

I’m gonna sound thick as anything but I don’t know much about cars lol, is it dangerous that it’s not plugged in?

Could be a cable thats used on an auto gearbox model. Thats a complete guess. I'd say if the car gets down the road problem free then your all good.

To be honest that’s what I have seen, I have looked at the cable and there’s nothing on the clutch or near the clutch to connect it in, but yeah the cars stops and starts so maybe it’s just a useless wire lol

David is right it only connected to a switch if you Clio has cruise control if not tuck it out the way

na it don’t have cruise control, I’ve tucked it away, thanks everyone
