Obviously most Clios rattle pretty badly, but the Trophy being so stiff means it's got even more than my previous Renault Sport Clios had. Up to now I've put up with all of them as they weren't any different to past cars.
However, the panel on the inside of the right rear had a really nasty vibration which was really bad on some road surfaces, and then even worse when I put a decent head unit it!!
So today I decided I was going to stop some of the most irritating rattles. It appears that the panel could really do with another clip near the front edge, in front of the speaker and behind where the front seat belt runs. Both sides are loose there, but only one of mine was vibrating against the body work. Anyway, as it was driving me mad I grabbed a chunk of seat foam, cut it to size, eased the panel off and pushed it up into gap. Problem solved. It no longer rattles or vibrates, and I can finally crank the bass back up on my HU.
The rest of the rattles I can live with. :approve:
