Rear abs rings loose!!

Hi all,

Got a pair of brand new, unused, mintex rear discs (just the discs)
However when I come to fit the abs rings both of them go on with no real problem, and spin almost freely on the disc. This I assume is incorrect, but is there any way to fix it? Anything I can put on the disc to hold the ring still whilst on the car? :dead:

Probrably tack them on with a welder, shouldnt be loose though. Have you managed to stretch them removing them? I personally would only fit genuine disks on the rear, saves the hassle with pressing bearings in and swapping rings over

Sometimes with non genuine discs the ABS ring is a bit loose. Mine were, ended up bonding them on.

Thanks for the replies. Skidmarx what did you use, weld? Would that still work? Not causing any problems I take it?

No reason why you cant tack them on, Not really neccessary tho. I just used some Tiger seal as it was to hand. Worked fine.

Does anyone know if tacking them on will hinder the operation of them?

Will be fine, just dont get any weld between the tooths on the ring.
