rear boot light led (mk1)

Having a nice time fixing my car at the mo - new tyre, f**ked boot sill... anyways the bulb in the boot has also decided to not work anymore. Instead of the standard replacement I wanna get an LED replacedment from ultraleds website (after a blue one). If anyone knows the bulb type/no. pls can you post it on here before I order another bulb from there that wont fit lol

Just buy a LED holder and the right resistor and you can fit any LED, remember that LEDs are very directional so you wont get very good lighting in the boot.

I added two LEDs to the boot which come on automatically when the boot is opened, and also kept the orignal white light (with new switch) for when I need to see what I was doing. was easy to do, just created my own loom.

That looks about the right size, tbh its a 2 min job to pop the clear cover off where the bulb goes in a measure the bulb, alot easier tha waiting hours for someoen to come up witht eh answer on here...no offence or anything

Ive spent about £40 on LEDs so far..... got a nice ice blue 501 sidelight bulb in the map reading light. 5 white LEDs with 1 centre blue LED. Gives a lovely glow off.. and you are still able to read via it.

I changed the bulb in the boot on the Coupe to a 4 LED white bulb.... It could really do with another light at the other side of the boot. As it only lights half of the boot up. If there was 2 of these lights with these bulbs it would look fantastic!
