Rear pad springs... Necessary??

  Cup 172
Yep another brake question... Also changed the rear discs and pads. Managed to loose one of the four springs on the back of the rear pads... Are they actually necessary? If so, does anyone have a picture of how the sit in place as Im still scratching my head trying to get the three remaining ones back in place...

Todays lesson... Always look at how things fit together before taking them apart...

the springs stop the pads moving around in the carrier, i would fit them.

if you still need to know how the springs sit, i can take a picture tomorrow morning

old thread revival - Ones from a GTi 106 and VTS appear to be the same springs? Part numbers are identical if you buy ferrodo kits!
Good news for me as I have two VTS rear beams with nearly new brakes to cannibalise!
