Received my ph1 fuel sender wondering what this is?

received my ph1 fuel sender yesterday morning but only had chance to look at it today I took it apart to see what's what took the pump out, obviously I'm upgrading that, what's this on the return line? Pictured below?

get a photo from the other side? is it a late phase 1 its out of ads it may be the regulator... u needed a early Phase 1 one

thought it was definitely right because its got 2 connectors on top of the sender thought one would be for flow and would be return

Ones a vent for the tank ones a feed, that's defo a fuel regulator it's a late ph1172 mate, your fuel garage won't read correct with this fitted either.

I can vouch for the fuel gauge bit not working it will catch you out.
Andy is there a fix for this or is it a case of getting a new fuel sender unit?

Dude, I need a new sender as my fuel level fluctuates, im in no rush to sort it but if you struggle to sell it on ill have it. Assuming its ph2.

Might be the same as a ph2 if its different from a early ph1 sure someone will confirm this if not ill be selling mine out of my 182

The resistance is different from a ph1 ph2 I modify the oem phase 2 to take a return line. It's easy and makes gauge read ok
