Recieved an email from Renault today about a new car.

Be one of the first to enter the electric mobility era and for £20 reserve a Renault Twizy - the first fully electric urban two-seater! You will get priority test drives before the launch of the vehicle, as well as priority ordering! (£7400)

Hmm, think i'll stick with the 172, although if I had £20 to waste I would have a go,
it would be like playing bumper cars.

I think they class these things as quadricycles, which means they don't have to pass any euro NCAP tests.:S
If someone hit you on a push bike I think you'd be in trouble.

Another example of a quadricycle

I'd rather ride around in that thing tbh.

how the hell do they expect to get two people in that? its tiny
a head on collision between two of these could be interesting, youd be head butting the person in the other car, not that it'll go fast enough to crash, its electric

Is it a concept or a joke? It looks like a smart, smart car, the smart car even smaller and uglier.

Joking aside I think these things are the future, they make much more sense in big cities than four seat cars being driven around with only one or two people in them. The problem is the charging infrastructure doesn't exist yet, plus it's too expensive. Oh, and the lack of doors makes it useless in London, most poeple would just choose a motorbike (as I did when I lived in the big smoke) if you're going to have to get dressed up in waterproofs every time it rains.
