We've got a 55 inch samsung from john lewis and it's bloody brilliant. Get into JL, find a samsung you like, search the web for it cheaper and get them to match it. Fin

I had a 3d and I only used it to show people, yeah it was impressive but rarely used it. Ended up buying a really good panasonic without 3d after a broken tv accident :(

That's the exact TV i'm planning on buying this week. I'm hanging on in the hope that it might come down in some black friday deals - but we'll see. It's received great reviews by What HiFi.

Buy from John Lewis though, its the same price but you get 5 years warranty.

Same, but I am doubtful... If I knew somebody who worked for Currys / PC World you could get 10% discount, when I was younger a couple of mates worked there.

I can get 5-8% off through work (NHS/DHL discounts) but it's a bit of a faff to get it, hence hoping for some reductions!

My partner works for the NHS, don't you have to buy a pre-loaded gift card to get the discount?
Yes, that's why it's a bit of a faff for the sake of £20! actually - fcuk it - i'm going to get it tonight! I'll let you know how it is!

No mention of your budget? Is 50" the limit?
I have the 55W829. Awesome TV. I spent days walking around Richer Sounds, John Lewis and Currys comparing everything in my price range. The Sony did it for me.

I've had mine since July (when they were £1150), but they can be picked up for ~£900 now.

Here's a vid I did, it's not great, but gives an idea of the quality hopefully.

Lol, sadly not.

No details but I'm led to believe we'll have some good offers on tomorrow www.ao.com . Might be worth a look if any of you are interested (no benefit to me I must add, just trying to be helpful).

I'm being serious.

The Panasonic 60 series was the best plasma this side of the Kuro.

Was going to ask where you work when you said that but saw. I didn't realise AO were now TV specialists.

Panasonic plasma or nothing.
