Recommended garage near Beccles, Suffolk?

Bought my 2002 172 last week and would like to have it fully serviced and checked over - hopefully by someone who knows these cars fairly well.

It has had belts, water pump etc done less than 10k miles ago, so should be fine for that. I just want to make sure everything is good with the car before starting to enjoy it!

If belts are already done and a known quantity (If there was a serious issue, 10k would have shown it) then, really, so long as the tracking is right and it's had a service and MOT, it should be good to go, most mechanics will be up to the job

That’s what I hoped. I’m just a bit OCD with cars and like to have them checked over.

I have another thread with lumpy idle and slight occasional hesitation/juddering when putting my foot down. Could these be linked to and timing issues?

I'm in Suffolk.. but I always make the trip to Engine Dynamics (Colchester area), who are a well know Clio Sport Specialist. I know my cars are in safe hands!

There is a Renault Trained Mechanic (and former 172 owner) who has his own garage/unit in Lowestoft called R & S Autoservices... and I can remember an old member saying he was ok, although I cannot speak from personal experience as I use Engine Dynamics..

Cheers for that pal! Literally 10 minutes for me and near my dads unit so will give them a look.
It would be nice to get any common issues looked at. Hoping the car is all good as I am liking it more each day I drive it!

I'm from Beccles and funnily enough there's a garage in Beccles that have 6 x mk2 clios, mines one of them. Pm me and I'll sort you out :smile:
