AWT - Ben R for the inlet work and RSTuning for the re-map ?? not sure if there is anywhere that does both bt I am probably wrong :)

Nick Hill @ Hillpower does the inlets and I'm sure he can also do remaps and has an onsite RR, although not sure if this map is just a standard GroupN map that is generic or whether he has the facility to tweak it

Think inlet work is £175 and remap with RR power run £350

quoted me 200 to do manifold matching, but that was based on exchange done while you wait inc vat. (not supplying a manifold for him to work on.)

my car will be going to hillpower when its due some manifold matching, and either fred / pmurray for a remap depending on what i fancy

cheer's for the advice guy's and gal's .

Last time I spoke to Nick (6 mths ago) it was I think £174 inc vat for CS members - based on Nick fitting a "heres one I made earlier" or £200 for Nick to remove yours, do the work & refit all in same day

What's Nick like with the actual re-mapping itself, anyone know what kit he's got or whether it's a live re-map ?
Just that I thought Nick was more into the engineering & rebuilds, not a mapping specialist as such (ps dont mean to sound disrespectful of Nick)

get the manifold done by Angelworks (BenR)

remap, Pmurray, chip wizards, or us

How much do you charge for a remap Fred? Is it a group n or a proper remap?

Whats the difference between the Yozzasport and RSTuning re-maps please ?? :)

^ tbh im confused about all the different maps, chips and providers of them and the differences and how they are done

GroupN ECU
GroupN re-flash
Chipwizzards
Superchips
Also mentions of "live" maps

At..........

Yozzasport
GDI
K-Tec
BBPT
Hillpower
RSTuning

Any chance someone in the know can summarize all the different options etc ?

Cheers

Mapping is only as good as the person doing it....so the answer to your question is:
whoever has the best understanding of what they are doing, and the most experience doing it.

what do you wnat to know??

From that list Chipwizards fills both parts of what ive stated above.

There is no definitive answer.

This is spot on imo.

Id wanna know what exactlly is done and how.

Ask the mapper some questions. Where is the extra power coming from? Why didnt Renault do that in the first place? Is it safe in all conditions you are likley to subject the car to? How do they prove its safe? Wideband Lamba welded into exhaust?

See how knowledgeable they are, explain transient fueling for example.

Difference between GroupN ECU / GroupN reflash v GDI/Yozza/Hillpower/RSTuning remap
Which are done "live" on the RR
Which aren't done "live" on the RR and do they need a RR check afterwards

The main thing I don't understand is if a remap isn't done "live" then how can it be tailored to the car unless you make a change followed by a RR check (each time you make a change to check the outcome)

Cheers

thats how superchip dealers do it, they up load a map, run it up, e-mail superchips HQ, they make a small change, its reuploaded and run up again

Are these 'live' maps not checked on the road (airstrip) after? Is a wideband sensor even used?
