Remap Clio 182 YAY OR NAY?

  BG FF 182
Hey guys i'm new to this forum used to be on 16valver so howdy! I was thinking about getting my 182 FF with both cup packs remapped by Celtic Tuning, has anyone used these i got quoted £299 and they can get it up to 195bhp and up to 161lbft torque! Also they come to you! 14 day money back guarantee aswell what ya think? Is a remap a good idea?

Cheers!

  Now Sold :-(
Best of luck obtaining those figures from a remap. :rasp:
Popular opinion is that a decent remap of a standard car will not give any real gain in peak figures. There will however be a noticeable improvement in throttle response and smoothing of the torque curve. Been discussed may times on here.

No way in hell any remap will ever have a 182 running 195bhp. Ever. Any company that suggests they can is probably retarded and best avoided.

And you want somewhere that will put it on a rolling road before and after to prove such gains.

better and cheaper option - Become a member on here. Look out for an RStuner in the for sale section. Then remap it yourself. It costs around 160 for the rstuner with a lisence and new maps.
They are sold by a company called fastchip which also have a section on here. Far better option, and no way in hell will you get 195 bhp from a remap! :)

  None
RS Tuning in leeds do a 182 remap for that price and that includes a before and after rolling road run(£45 each run seperately)

Bearing in mind a 182 clio in good form as standard might make 170-175bhp so if you have a decent exhaust and filter you might see 175-180 bhp after mapping if run on shell V power(these figures were taken from a thread on here)

Like others said, 195bhp is not happening.......unless you have the jms manifold for well over 1k fitted first :)

Having has a remap (rstuner), it does make a difference, especially mid-range. But it's not a massive, and if planning any other engine work, get the map done last.
