G'day fellas,

work on a Mk2 Clio 172?

I'm getting one installed in a tomorrow but I heard the Clio has some sort of built in immobiliser from the key or something like that.

Is there a way to bypass this immobiliser?

Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

its easy but I expect it will invalidate your insurance.

take the ring decoder off your ignition barrel, tape the spare key inside it and tuck it up out the way behind the dash.

Will basically mean your car can be nicked easy, so wouldn't bother with it.

May be other ways of doing this.

I haven't tried it yet but I will do soon.

Here is the latest. Everything wired up correctly. Once the remote start button is pressed the car will crank but will not fire up. This is with the key in the ignition.

Without having the key in the ignition the car will not even crank.

Is what Mike172sport suggested the only way to get around this?
