Lol we've been here before...

The OE connection is known for being poor, so chances are someone has cut it off and used the "bullet" connectors shown in your pic. No problem if they are done properly and water tight, but as you blew the fuse, maybe they aren't perfect and shorted.

Regardless it's done now.

Just one question... why remove the spoiler... ?
He prefers the look with no spoiler.

The prev. owner had it painted to match the car, and it looked great when I first bought it, but over the last couple of years it has worsened and 'crazed'. So it's currently at the bodyshop being painted.

Good stuff, will look miles better

@imprezaworks needs some spoiler work IIRC? maybe worth letting him know how much it cost you afterwards ..

So it can be painted....

Just says he removed it in the OP ? but yes he's said why now

What I had meant @Davyy was that because the bullet connectors had the 2 female parts on the brake light side, that on the other side they'll look like this most likely.

So could've easily touched and shorted out.

@Davyy I need your help mate.
I'm trying too start the car without the keys in the ignition.Any help appreciated
@Davyy, quick question, "when i put more pressure in my tyres they seem to get harder, does this mean that they are broken, could the electrical connector in the tyre be broken or something, maybe the interior mirror is cracked causing a chemical reaction to the rubber rubbing against the tarmac?" 😧

Thanks.

Nah. That was bad but this boy's got the golden touch for sure.

As previous holder of the record I feel I'm best qualified to decide who deserves it.
