removed my accoustic valve!

just removed my accoustic valve ,replaced with a new air feed to the lower wheelarch liner (the cut out ), took it for a quick spin ,and the only differance i can see is that its a LITTLE louder under acceleration and ever so slightly quicker on the set off ,and i mean a little !!! thought these valves were for noise regulations ,what a load of c**k ... even considering putting it back on !! cos not that much difference peeps

dont expect it to be a ferrari but the 30 mins it took to do imo isnt worth it thats all ill have to see in the morning when its colder weather on way to work for a better reading i think !?

its a little louder without the valve but not THAT noticeable!

Probably not worth the effort then?? Ive been watching all the posts on the acoustic valve closely there seems to be mixed reactions... When I fitted a stainless steal exhaust I noticed the induction noise got a little fruitier as some say. Running an ITG panel at the mo.

i took mine off cos my om cold feed was damaged, so i used wililar size ducting to a viper cowl to the wheel arch line( was through front fog) i found that i seemed a little louder, n smoother lower in the revs. not much diff but a diff so meh if ya bored like n got nowt t do, do it

only mods ive done is the acc valve , and a k n N panel filter as i want to keep it standard as i can , not bothered about making anymore mods ....

Hmm, its funny some of these posts.

There was a guy on last week saying "it makes a HUGE difference, loads more power, and it sounds like a BEAST".

Now we have one that says "makes hardly any difference".

Me thinks some people get carried away...
