removing a 172 engine

i have a 52 plate 172 cup with now has a bent conrod.. ive got a new short motor arriving soon and was wondering the best way to remove the lump... is it through the top unbolting the bellhousing bolt etc etc or is it engine and box through the bottom?

out the bottom on the subframe

yeh out the bottom is the quickest and easiest way imo.
