removing carbon canister (properly with breather etc) help please

can anyone give me some advice on properly removing the carbon canister and what to use and where to buy the bits to blank it off and breather one way for the tank dont want to just rip it off and leave the pipes hanging its not how i like to do things

any help muchly appreciated thanks

If it's a road car mate I wouldn't bother, not worth the hassle.

If it is to go open breather I wouldn't bother either on a road car. It's one thing I hate about the Escort ; smelling of L'eau de crankcase fumes!

This is what I used on mine to stop the tank pressurising and everywhere smelling of fumes. Has to be mounted vertically so worth thinking about how you're going to mount it before chopping pipes. I had mine in the rear arch.

cheers dude so that goes from the tank then i just put a piece of open pipe on the other end?

@rrtam yeah that goes on the breather line which would go to the carbon canister. You can block the return from the canister with a bolt or bung. I had a little filter on the end of mine although it was an 8mm filter it wasn't perfect but stopped dirt getting in.
