removing Engine With box in place

Removing ph quick lump to replace with same. Im guessing i just leave the box/shafts etc mounted in place? Undone the bolts on the box visible from the front, what next? just undo the ones on the back? any tips to make this easier?

this for sure then? seems awfully fiddly with everything in place. to be honest. Whats best way of removing shafts? just undo lower arm and top mount and remove the whole unit or take everything apart seperately?

Yep whole lot out easier.
Drian all fluids etc and pull it out are you keeping the a/c? As you'll have to refuiill that unless you life that condensor etc all out with the engine

Remove shafst easy undo the bottom ball joint or undo the top strut bolt and pull it out form the box leaving the hafts in the hubs.

Engine out the bottom is another idea but got to have the raps to do it. just drop the subframe support engine and lift car over it.

unbolt calipers
undo the lower shock bolts (21mm x 2)
unbolt lower ball joint (unbolt from wishbone, easier than separating it)
undo track rods from hubs (not neccesary, but easier)

pull hubs and wobble driveshaft out

have to admit that way appeals to me most. Ill give that a pop then tomorrow. See how i get on. what would you say the 'Book' time for the job is. Got the engine ready out of the donor car.

engine and box out? it can be done in 3 hours if you know what you're doing, first timer double that and add a bit more

Removed a couple before. Just never fitted one back in.
