Removing glue (?) from paintwork

Looks like some arse has glued a metal badge on, so when I peeled it off I was left with this. I'm confident it can be removed, someone has suggested a toffee wheel (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MOULDING-AND-..._Body_Shop_Supplies_Paint&hash=item53e7e65c15) as it's actually glue, so spraying WD-40/petrol/alcohol on it might damage the paint if it did need respraying.

Any ideas folks?

  Not a 320d
I doubt WD40 or IPA would damage the paint.

Id try tardis if you have some but i doubt that would work, heavy compound, and rub at it might be a good idea.

Wet sanding at a push.

I meant make it harder for my mate to respray it rather than damage it :rasp:

Heavy compound?

Was contemplating wet sanding then polishing the fook out of it.

Tar remover won't shift that. It barely shifts soft tar.

Jamie, start off with Tardis. If you haven't got any, find a local (Mikey aka Bifcaids or Chris) and borrow some for favours.

Failing that, a hand pad with the 203s we mentioned a while back. Have a go. Failing that, I would speak to a body shop or local detailer that I would trust with a wet sand.

You suggested something that could damage his car mate.
