Removing glue on richbrook tax holders

Had mine on over a year and wanted to reposition it, took it off and the glue is SOOO feckin hard, how do ya remove hard ass glue from metal? any ideas guys?

Ronson lighter fluid, the petrol one.

Apply with a cloth and it sould remove it with out a trace !!! Make sure you keep the windows open thou

Brake cleaner is top stuff for removing glue too.

Well discovered, when I did mine

I used to clean my vinyls with the stuff Nowt petrol cant shift

That and a box of matches
