removing heat shield in engine bay.. good or bad?

Wanna take mine off cuz i sprayed the cover. good idea or bad idea?
Its the stuff that stuck to the inside of the bonnet? worried bout the engine bay getting too hot

I would say no problem, had mine off a few weeks now and seems to have cooled my engine down a bit more. Plus you can hear the engine more.

Can you not just leave the engine cover outside the car to dry?

It was sprayed last week so its very dry. i read on here if you spray the cover you have to take off the heat sheild as it rubs up against the cover and messes the new paint job up..
