Remus dual exhaust

  Clio II and Grand Modus

Get a Supersprint or a magnex way better than the Remus, don´t like the dual exit look ott i think.

Problem is, they are not covered by the Factory warranty. Not even sure If I can even get them here in NZ

Personally I would preffer a totally stealth performance system - heard but not seen. :)

They do have another option which I beleive is similar to the Supersprint system which is way too loud to live with day in day out.

It will probably take 3 months before I will fit it all so maybe they will have other options by then.

Thanks

Hey, I got a 172 in NZ too, I installed the other option of exhaust since at the early time, the Remus exhaust not available yet. Also installed the viper air induct and superchip. However, I recommond you to install the Remus exhaust, because the quality from other option just very bad, I changed twice for my that custom made exhaust since there was something keep loosen and make weird noise. But Im searching for exhaust from K-tec(it cheap compare with Remus), they said they will deliver to NZ, but need to ask the Renault garage if they accept it first. Cheers

i would spend the money on a dastek unichip or another type of piggy back ecu as they are better than a chip more adaptable and better to map the correct fuelling there have been lots of people who have had issues with the 172 running lean at WOT or in the midrange due to incorrect mapping or unsuitable chips

I know superchip not the best. But in NZ, only superchip available. Because in NZ, not much 172 around and hardly any modify parts for european cars. For example, the exhausts offered in NZ these last two years are the Remus and the custom made one for the 172, so you can see how hard to find modify parts in NZ. Because no one import any parts to NZ. Only the Renault dealer does and not many options to choose from.. :(

I have the other Remus exhaust, dual exit but only one body. As for quality its great, fully stainless steel unlike the Superprint backbox, although its also more expensive.

Ive tried both systems (Remus and Supersprint) and found absolutely no differences in performance, the only thing good about the Superprint exhaust is that its MUCH lighter than the Remus (I had to reinforce the rubber which holds the Remus exhaust!). The Supersprint is also somewhat quieter, but there isnt much difference really.

BTW, my car is a 1.6 16v and I have the Supersprint manifold and cat replacer.

Remus is famous (at least here in Portugal) for their universal/direct exhausts which make tons of noise, but the specific models are another story, great quality and very low noise.
