ren 5 gt turbo 1.4 engine

  Range Rover sport
just wondering would this fit in a clio 1.2 16v mk2 phase 2 having a dissagreement at work.

carb + Boost = fueling difficulties.
can be done ok, but it's just not a great place to start from

I wouldn't use either of those engines tbh. 1.8T VW lump if you must and as for an RS conversion it'll be cheaper and less hassle to sell your 1.2 and buy an RS instead.

As Mark One said, unless done properly there can be problems with setting up a carb to run boost.

If you're after an engine conversion for your mk2 1.2 it's going to cost you more than buying and insuring a better car in the first place.
Yes you can fit a 5 turbo/ volvo turbo but it's an old engine and not worth the gains. If your serious about the conversion look into transplanting the 1.2 turbo lump from the Mk3, but I'd still say buy a new car and save the money

My 5 runs lovely for 20yrs old and I'm sure will happily keep up with most on here for 10 mins :) however that is a point that fueling as a pain and r5 engines are a dark magic to fix trust me :)
