RENAULT CLIO ALTERNATOR!!

I have a 2000 Renault Clio 1.4 16v (98hp) phase 1 and need to replace the alternator. I was wondering if an alternator off a 1.4 16v ph2 would fit? also, is there an easy way of removing it since my car has air con.
