Renault Compatible Head Units

Hi,

Can anyone give me an idea what manufacterers/models of headunits are compatible with the remote/dash display in my Mk1 172?

Any pointers to sites selling them would also be appreciated.

Alpine would be a preference if they can be used?

Some Sonys, some Kenwoods & maybe others now...

Only some sonys and one Kenwood........

Alpines, kenwoods, sonys, pioneers etc mostly work with steering control but not display

there are are quite a few pioneer stereos that have adapaters.

ive had this problem

you can get a block which makes your stereo work with the display and the stick costs about £50. sony kenwood and alpine are the main brands which will go in no problem.

Thats why I was hoping for Alpine - has one in a previous 106Gti and was very happy. Sony eare subtle but not great quality and Pioneer a little too flashy ... dang !

really??? do they work with alpine??? What are they and where can i get one from??
