Renault Petition/Complaints

Ok i have read all of your comments and to be honest with you !!

I think that you have to remember a few things !!

1. IF YOU MODIFY YOUR CAR FROM THE STANDARD SPECIFICATION : RENAULT HAVE THE RIGHT TO MAKE YOUR WARRANTY INVALID !!

2. IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH YOUR CAR : IT IS NOT DOWN TO THE SALESMAN TO SORT OUT YOUR PROBLEM, ALTHOUGH SOME WILL HELP !! IT IS DOWN TO THE AFTERSALES SERVICE DEPARTMENT.

3. IF YOUR HAVING A PROBLEM WITH YOUR DEALER : THEN SPEAK TO THE SERVICE MANAGER / BRANCH MANAGER. IT IS THEIR RESPONSIBILTY TO SORT OUT THEIR STAFF.

4. YES THERE ARE COMMON PROBLEMS ON CERTAIN ENGINES AND MODELS : OF WHICH RENAULT ARE TRYING VERY HARD TO RESOLVE. REMEMBER THAT ALL THE TIME THAT YOUR CAR IS IN FOR RECTIFICATION WORK, IT IS COSTING RENAULT MONEY. THEY DONT LIKE IT AS MUCH AS YOU DO !!

Please do not try to flame me !!

This is not designed as a rant or to discredit any of you !!

YOU DO DESERVE GOOD SERVICE NO MATTER HOW MUCH MONEY YOU SPENT !!

OH AND ONE LAST THING : BE LUCKY !! ;)

SORRY I FORGOT ANOTHER IMPORTANT FACT !!

IF YOUR CAR IS ON FINANCE !! YOU DO NOT OWN THE CAR, UNTIL YOU HAVE MADE THE LAST PAYMENT !! THE FINANCE COMPANY DOES !!

SO IF YOU ARE HAVING REPEATED PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR !! THEN YOU CAN CONTACT THE FINANCE COMPANY AND GET THEM TO FIGHT YOUR CORNER. AFTER ALL IT IS THEIR CAR !!

TRUST ME ON THIS !! THEY HAVE AN AWFULL LOT MORE POWER TO GET THINGS RESOLVED.

I HOPE THIS HELPS !!

Or better still you dont even have to pay.

You can phone RFS (or whoever) and suspend payment until the problem is resolved

To be honest i agree with Jass comment he said on another page. By doing this were making Renaults look sh*t, surely thats going against why were members of this club?

Im not happy with my dealer service, and my cars not quite as well built as id like it to be but sh*t happens, if it comes to the point where i own a Rolls Royce and the same thing goes on ill do something about it.

Just remember we will get nothing good out of this but are helping Renault become the next Skoda.

Its a shame you feel that way Rob. As for helping Renault become the next Skoda if they keep on churning out cars to the standard I have experienced then they deserve to be labled as the next Skoda.

At the end of the day everyone on here has 2 choices. Either stop moaning about the problems you have experienced or do something about it. If we all have the same pesimistic attitude as some why bother getting up in the morning.

I would imagine people are members of this club as they enjoy their cars. It is a fact however that alot of people are unable to enjoy their cars because of stupid little faults and general sh!t service from Renault.

Be very carefull with the comment of suspending payments !!

That will win u no favours with the finance company !! They will then stop all assistance to you and take you to court for non payment !! or if have payed less than a 1/3 of your total agreement costs. Come and remove your car and charge you storrage.

It is better to get them involved on friendly terms !!

I agree with rob, we all know Clios havent got the best build quility, but at the end of the day you get what you pay for, and even then you get alot for your money spec wise.
 


We do get quite big bang for our buck. I think anyway. I have a Clio 1.2 with climate, cd, fingertip controls, airbags, anti lock etc etc, not bad at all in my view.

I PAID 12995 FOR MY 172 AND TO ME THAT IS A LOT OF MONEY, IN FACT IT WAS ALL MY MONEY. INDEED I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS MAINLY FROM THE DEALER I BOUGHT IT FROM. ORIGIN OF THE CAR ETC. IT IS THE SALESMANS RESPONSIBILITY TO GIVE OUT THE CORRECT INFORMATION AND SORT OUT ANY PROBLEMS I HAVE HAD DUE TO HIS BULLS++T. FOR 13K I EXPECT SERVICE TO BE TOP NOTCH AND PROBLEMS TO BE DEALT WITH, SOME PEOPLE DONT EVEN EARN THAT IN A YEAR. IF YOUR CAR HAS PROBLEMS THEN THE SERVICE I EXPECT FROM A DEALER OR THE GARAGE SHOULD BE PROFFESSIONAL, FULLY TRAINED STAFF AND INTEGRITY.

Err, boys and girls, you do not get what you pay for. My colleague paid £22k for his topp spec Laguna and has been in three times in 6months. And the aftersales treatment is p1ss poor.

Ive only ever owned Citroens til I got the Clio, and quite honestly I will try to avoid Renault in future. The internal build quality is worse than the AX I used to own. My Xsaras build quality was also far superior. Yet they cost less.

My g/fs 2yr old Ibiza is built like a tank, yet cost less than any other 1.4 on the market (taking in to account its high spec) when she bought it new.

Your attitude is typical of most in this country, in that you should just keep quiet. WHY? If this was anywhere else it wouldnt be allowed cos the manufacturers know theyd be berated by their customers.

All of this was established in another thread, and I set this thread up for those that wont sit back and swallow it, and wnat to do something. Even if Renault only collectively admit they have a problem and offer us no more, at least I can remain happy in the knowledge that they know people arent happy and recognise the fact.

And Renault becoming the next Skoda wouldnt necessarily be a bad thing, cos at least youd be treated with respect by the dealerships, and own a car that wont have lost half its bits after a couple of years.

Agree entirely. Saying build quality isnt the best but we should expect to get what we paid for is a ridiculous statement. I dont care if a car costs £10 or £10,000 it should still do what its meant to do, i.e work!

I havent heard a single person say that you dont get much for your money. Rob re you comment on everything you get as standard on your 1.2, what would you be saying if half of those features stopped working? "oh well i got what i paid for i guess..."

Mikes started a topic thats gone to 4 pages so that says something in itself, theres only so much that one person can do, hence asking the club.

but you have to remember that the club is only run by a handful of people, and we are busy 99.9% of the time! Were not here to be slaves!

I will get on to it at the end of the month if nothiing has happened by then. Unfortunatly I have a lot on in and out of work at the moment so I cant comit just yet.

If your not happy with the service DONT PAY.

I didnt and Renault threatened me with a court letter.......

I replied stating i cant wait for my day in court, giving all the reasons why i am not paying.

Later that week a personal phonecall from the director giving me a 250quid service FREE OF CHARGE.
