Renault sport 'optimum' power to weight

I assume Renault think a power to weight of 160 to 180bhp/ton is an optimum figure for a road car?

clio 182 - 165
clio 197 - 161
meg 225 - 166
V6 - 175

four different cars with different weights, engine sizes, engine types etc. etc. with pretty much identical power to weight ratios.

From the looks of his list he is only talking about the GENERAL performance models... its not fair to include the top of the range Cup really...
 
Its just the way the numbers come out when you have the car models you have and the production engines you have and you mix and match them.
 
The bhp per tonne seems fairly similar accross the range but what are the torque to weight figures????
 
100bhp per litre is a good fast road set-up. Amy car that hits that mark is in a good state of tune.

2 litre = 200BHP

3 litre = 300BHP

Hence V6 not in a good state of tune and seriously underpowered!
 
ctr = 100bhp per litre (almost).
s2000 = even more

i think the engine in the s2000 produces the 2nd most bhp/litre of any naturally aspirated road car. i think ferrari is first with the 360
