Renault Stats for Car Test Program

Following a thread in the Driving Tales forum (the ITR thread), I decided to download cartest (http://www.richmondgear.com/downloads.htmlhttp://www.richmondgear.com/downloads.html)

This program compares cars according to certain stats and specs, you can update it with new cars so Id like to add some Renaults!!

http://erc.qmuc.ac.uk/cliosport/gallery/full/1073328506__cartest.jpg

This is the input screen for data, shows you everything thats needed..

Can anyone provide the info for some Clios? (e.g. 172, Williams, Etc?)

The two light blue lines that you cant quite read say.... "Tire Circumf. (ft)" and "Frontal Area (sq. ft)".. both these figures are optional though

I do not know all the stats I have listed above to be 100% accurate, but they are to the best of my knowledge!

Does the programe take account, for example, of the fact that a Willy makes 85% of the torque at 2500rpm?

P.S. Most standard Williams make loads more than 150bhp! :D

And OMG: the 16V and Willy are 8 inches wider than the 172! Woo hoo! Fat arches rule!

Results for a standard Williams look about right. 0-60 in 7.5, 0-100 in 19.1 and 1/4 mile in 15.6 seconds. That holds true for the Williams that I had and all the breakdowns are very close to AP22 runs that Ive got stored.

Just trying some more cars out now...

Why not have a look at the power and torque curves it plots and see.

I fed in the power and torque figures from when my car was dynod and the graph was pretty damn accurate

the data from ren. dosnt have gear ratios - or am i being stupid?? as i can only find the speed at certain revs in each gear

does anyone have the full windows version ? ive run the demo deom cartest 2000 site and it looks a bit more polished than the dos one.

Cant get it to run:(

Can someone try it with my RR stats please?

BHP: 163.5bhp @ 6510rpm

TORQUE: 135lb-ft @ 5440rpm

This is Autocars Williams gear ratios which are different from the ones you have listed:confused::

Trans: 5 Manual
1st: 3.09
2nd: 1.86
3rd: 1.32
4th: 1.02
5th: 0.79

Final: 4.06

Oh and I only weigh 65kgs;)

Some other times it gives for 007s RR figures

0-30 2.3s

0-60 6.5s

0-100 17.8s

1/4 mile in 15.2 @ 92.5 MPH

Top Speed 138 MPH

Cheers riplash - Must find out how quickly my cousin got round the ring in his RX7.

The 0-60 seems a bit dodgy as the Willie needs to get into 3rd to hit 60.

My AP22 Times were 7secs to 60 and 17secs to 100.

Top speed is 120mph so far and I dont intend to go any faster;)

good little prog that although of the cars aint quite right. my pretty standard clio can beat a DE TOMASo PANTERA round silverstone :)
