Yours is a clio II pal....

All the info is on your vin plate.

For my williams I needed -

Prduction code - C57M
Chassis Number
And oval plate number

Write them all down on a bit of paper as you will need them everytime you load the program.

cheers northy, ive just been out to look at the vin plate but cant find it. I must be having a thick day today as nothin is going right.

ok pal.

Once you get going with the software you will pick it all up.

Just keep a eye out the next page icon on the left hand side screen. Only just found this out.

Search is another usefull function suprisingly.

 it doesnt remember your car when you exit the program. Does that mean i have to put in my vin plate every time?

right fubar. ive used your plate as an example but all plates are the same its just the numbers are different with diferent models so different spec if you see what i mean.

CB0P-is the vehicle type

F003655-is the vehicle fabrication number (manufacture date)

E2-is the equipment level

SAN913-additional limited addition spec

SAN513-additional special edition spec

0V727-paint grade and paint colour

DRAP03-seat upholstery/coverings

HARM01-interior trim colour etc

5-technical specification in relation to coutry. sometimes referred to as the special features code

ACGK-main options,these are:- A=normal suspension,C=temparate climate,G=non regulated aircon/heating,K=without pollen filter

NRTV-main options,these are:-N=pas,R=without variable shockers,T=without self level suspension,V=with abs

Other variations of main options are:-M=manual steering,P=variable pas,D=extremly cold climate,F=normal heating,H=regulated aircon,J=regulated heating but no aircon,L=with pollen filter,W=without abs,U=with self level suspension,T=variable shockers.

other questions like engine number etc needs getting of the engine/gearbox id plates or through icm (ask your dealer or pm me)

hope this helps

jay

cheers jay, thats a great help chap....

just somethin i noticed there tho... u say V=with ABS as written on my VIN plate, but as far as im aware my car doesnt have ABS. whats the easiest way to check?

cheers again jay. :)

  BMW Z4 2.5si Sport

turn the key in the ignition... on mine when the initial lights light up, theres an orange abs light... lights up for a few secs when u turn it on...

  BMW Z4 2.5si Sport

also - checked my VIN plate - Ive got NTRW - suggesting mine doesnt have abs, when it defo does (get the light on dash etc, and 04 so all 04s have abs) - possibly the other way round? W= has abs...?

Jay what do you get from this then:

Probably not the best idea posting all your cars details on here but im desperate to find out a little about the cars identity.

Also a technical question - the loud pedal has become increasingly stiff to the point where its a joke, feels like its gonna snap the cable every time you floor it. Also the engine sometimes over revs at the lights and to stop this you pull the pedal towards you and it revs as normal again. I assume there is a problem with the cable but i thought it was all fly-by-wire now. The exhaust is constantly rattling now aswell not the 4k knock, sounds more like baffles or heatshield tiney sound. Will all this be covered under warrenty? the car was registered in may 2002.

all the meanings are the same. just put your letters in place of fubars. ive listed all the different letters as well so you have all the different tech/spec options. your 172 has cable throttle control-sounds like the cables sticking. the exhaust noise i doubt will be covered by warranty due to the vehicle age.

dont worry about as you need to produce id these days to get id plates from renault or even number plates. your details are useless to anybody else.
