what do u mean by reset? the older ones, you just have to disconnect the battery

well its just my car makes a whining noise coming from the exhaust and backfires alot, i used to have a universal exhaust on and now got a buget kwik fit exhaust on an aparently i need to reset my ecu or something just dno how.

there is no way of reseting it, even with diagnostic equipment, so try disconnecting the battery. If this doesn't work you'll have to goto Renault and put it on the Clip. They can't reset it, but can reconfigure bits if it's gone wrong some how. It might just be a sensor fault like your MAP, or collant temp sensor
