I think my had died, just spoek to a local scrappy and they have some, but not out of a 172, just from a 1.6 and 1.4.

Are these the same across all models or will I need one out of a sport.

I'm guessing it is this as I get no fan whatsoever, but also no click of the air con compresser and also not hot or cold - are they all interconnected or could it be the actual control unit that is shafted?

Does anyone know if its a common part, local has one from a 1.6 for £30 and just renault have one from a 172 for 40 + vat

Just want to make sure if I getthe one from a 1.6 it will be compatible.

i've just fixed my fan as it dint work at all . Resistor pack & resistor motor fitted just under £300.
If i was u, i'd get the 1 from RS

You need one from a car with climate

the none air cons are different infact there 3 or 4 ypes form memory of the none air cons systems.
