professional as in you have high standards in the finish and job
where is the comapany based?

i have pretty high standards yup, couple of my workmates dont.

if im honest, ill look at a car and judge how good the repairs gotta be. if im working on a rusty transit van ill have it knocked off in no time, if im working on an evo or beemer, then ill take as long as needed and get it bang on

probably best painting the wing too mate and do the whole side.

you'll notice colour match alot less bonnet to wing compared to wing to door as its different angles.

id say £200-£250

the wing seems to match the bonnet though, the door and rear quatre lacks a gold metallic.. and it looks lighter

thats a good price

  Punto/Clio GTT
yea but if you paint to the wing its just gonna be a solid edge as you gotta paint right to the end of the door, then youre just hoping it matches next time. If you prep the wing too, blow basecoat accross the side (not on the top) and then laquer the whole wing, itll still be the same colour to the bonnet, but the door will be blended nicely into it too.

wings on clios will always look slightly different anyway due to them being plastic

yeah i understand.
yeah i noticed wings are a diff colour too on normal clios, but non so much as worse as mine... stupid clio.. lol
how long would the whole process normally take?

if there is no damge etc is very easy al you have to do is take of bumpstrips etc then go over the hole side with a type of brilo pad to ruff the old paint up then get ya new mix over it blend it in lauqer it and bake it which at my old place tookgive 20 mins and then go over it with a PC machine put bumpsips back on job dun

as leigh says, if the surface is good to paint onto, it just needs

-going over with a grey scotchbrite and some panel wipe (10 minute job),
-blow it off, clean it up (5 minutes)
-mask up tailgate, roof, strip between the door n quarter, windows, bonnet and bumper. then bag the car up (hour tops)
-preclean, tackrag (5 minutes)
-paint/laquer/bake (hour tops)
-nib out any bits and mop it up (30-45 minutes)

so about 3 hours work non stop, realistically about 4

if the old paint aint very good though it will need wet flatting instead of scotching
