Returning to standard

So, stupid question time. I replaced my shocks with coilovers, but now I feel it's time to return to standard. It's not nice taking the car on long journeys, especially down country lanes with coilovers and 17's on.

So I have the original shocks in the garage. They were removed about 2+ years ago? Been in a box in the garage since.

Stupid question - Can they be chucked back on or should they be refurbed first? Not sure how cheap new shocks are for the Mk3.

As above.

Look for obvious signs of wear, leaks and check they operate smoothly and job's a good'un.
