well i cannot speak for the 1.2 but with the 182 i coludnt go above i think 3500rpm for 625 miles.... i am presuming it is the same for your new car matey.

you could always ask the salesman......;)

they say not to for the first 500 miles i think but not run fully in untill 5000 miles, they shoulnt blow tho and the stand tested and run in, in the factory, plus there under warrenty if ne think happens. i went to bout 4k running in 3 stupid.

Handbook.

For the first 625 miles do not exceed 80 mph in the highest gear or 3000 to 3500 rpm.

On completion of 625 miles you may use your vehicle normally. However, it is only after 1875 miles have been covered that you may reasonably expect full performance.

You need to give it some stick in the first 25 miles to ensure the piston rings make a good seal in the engine.

thats just silly saying that tho, thats just gonna f**k it up. personally i wouldnt take it much over 3000rpm for the first 500 miles then id gradually take it higher and higher, and by the time you get to 1000 miles you should be able to safely take it right up to max revs. but you cant just suddenly cane it as soon as you get to 500 miles. it doesnt work like that.

its the same with suspension as well, youve got to gradually take corners faster and faster, not just go round them full speed as soon as you get the car.
