Riggers' Track Fiesta ZS...



leave you clios for dust mate ;), well f0xy took me for a spin the other night and theres no difference between his and this silver one...

approx 170-180 once its mapped

lol il believe it when i see it running and mapped on the road....and if it makes the expected figure at RST il be equally impressed, anywhere else and the true power could be anything tbh

lol, why anywhere else as the RST rollers are meant to be low as i found out and as everyone else says...
 
search all the big owners clubs....they are regarded as the most accurate up this end of the country.....as alot of the other places have been renowned to play with settings for the runs (tyre pressures etc) and hence overread....you wont be able to tell without looking at the specific details set on the RR itself...or running a 100% standard car on there....

Its just iirc when the ZSOC lot went, they had a moan because their argos backbox didnt give them 10bhp extra on the factory standard i rekon ;)

For 99% of people on here they have been the most accurate, and the same for clio197.net/meganesport.net/etc, plus hes now doing all the Jap stuff and has a very good rep with them with regards to outputs!

A 100% standard williams made 150 on RST's iirc, spot on what it left the factory with, even 15yrs down the line, same with some of the 182's/172s.....where as there are a couple on here took theirs to awesomegti and tdi north, and put out high 180's and low 190's with a 100% standard car lol, never been anywhere near true, considering most of the sports always make high 160s when they leave the factory...

Either way rolling roads mean nothing, inlet temps change, atmosphere changes.....its all about power down onto the road, real world driving.....on track, even all this 1/4 mile times are just ghey, if i wanted a quick qtr id buy a 4wd car with silly power.....real world situations ftw ;)

we'll have to go there then jord, see whts what with the bhp figures from both the cars then...

well the same spec as this silver one apart from a lightened or steel crank (cant remember which) made 198bhp at Track N Road where these engine are recommended to get mapped in london...

sometimes the idle speed is at 2K+ and i have to reboot the car to get it back to normal lol

shiiiiiiit that makes sense! its a new cable but the guy was going on about not putting a pin through it or something to hold it in, it must have just jumped out a bit lol

any idea what this pin is that he was on about?

though just my 10p's worth, i realy cant see that engine making 180 bhp, am i right in thinking that the 1.6 Zetec ( i used to have an ecort with that engine) makes 105 bhp std? that means a 70%+ increase in power? thats alot from cams, and throttle bodies, i mean i know ther engines been rebuilt, but i would imagine 160 would be more along the lines, for example there is a chap on here who has done the same, has a 1.6 16v Clio engine, with cams, bodies, strong bottom end stc, and made 140 bhp, but the powerr curv is fantasic, the torque is perfect and it will a right lil animal, and keeps with 172s

as said, headline power means nowt fella, dont worry about headline figures, so what if it only makes , say 150, it will be fantasic to drive and will go like a bat out of hell anyway :)

i can like i said above, the same spec as this with rods and crank made 198bhp... this WILL be atr leats 170 no shadow of a doubt, its foookin rapid, believe me mate... theres no point in compairin the clio 1.6 engine to a 1.6 zetec se anyway mate, if thats correct 140bhp thats pathetic... but like you say its how it feels and goes not figures...

anyway my car got assesed today, its a Cat B... and i can buy it back just waitin for the assesor to organise it to get brought back to my house then i shall start stripping it down...

Totaly different engie mate. These are Zetec SE (Sigma) engines. The ones Yamaha have a hand in. Ali black on them. They come in 1.25/1.4/1.6/1.7 (Puma)

The Escort would of been a silver top Zetec-E From the 1.6/1.8/2.0 Family with a cast bloack. The 1.6 Zetec was a dog of an engine. Not very efficent, they were 90bhp in the escorts.

The little SE 1.4's make that. They are very smooth revvy engines

Mine was literally a shell when it finally went to the scrapyard. I kept everything subframes, fuel tank, steering rack i'm well prepared in case anything breaks on mine.

sold so far...

wheels, steering wheel, mats, splitter, dash, filter and hose, breather... and a lads on the way to mine now heading up from london for the cage...

only keeping the buckets, back box and towing eyes for the silver one...

also put a deposit on the silver one last night so that is oficially sold now as hes holdind it for me till i have the money...

hopefully will have the value of the black one sortid this week...

cars been valued at 1620 after buyin it back so ill hopefully be getting that cheque early next week then when i put it in the bank and it clears im off to buy the silver one... :D

Thats cool mate, nothing bad meant against you, but that one that made 198 bhp i would hazard a guess that RR flywheel figs are a bit optomistic, what was the BHP at the wheels?

Don't get me wrong it will be a right flyer, i just having trouble seeing such an increase on those mods, but as iv said don't get hung up on BHP figures i bet it will fly on the road :)
